FIRST DRAFT
One novel, one conversion: a complete first-draft screenplay adaptation package, not a finished production draft.
The price is published after the blind benchmark and the first measured conversions.
Three free, controlled beta conversions
Before any seat is sold, three invited writers receive a conversion free:
- one conventional commercial novel;
- one novel with an unusual structure or built on memory;
- one novel carried by its dialogue and characters.
The house’s own release tests are separate from these three.
TSR adapts your novel the way a screenwriter would, and shows you every choice before a page is written.
Before we write, you’ll see the adaptation plan: the structure, what’s cut, what’s combined, and any scene the film needs that your book doesn’t have. You approve it, or change anything in your own words.
What you must keep, and the meaning of your ending, never change without your yes.
What a conversion will cover
The four documents — the Screenplay (PDF and .docx), the Adaptation Record, the Screen Brief and the Development Package — for one novel. No subscription and nothing further to buy.
No revision round
Choices are settled at Author Gate A, before writing, so there is no revision round after delivery. You, or the screenwriter you hire, take the draft forward in the .docx working copy.
How long it takes
How long a conversion takes is published only after the finished system has been measured several times.
Where
Writers anywhere in the world, from opening. Payments through Stripe — coming.
It is: a complete first-draft feature screenplay of your novel, in industry format, faithful to your story, with every scene traced to your pages.
It isn’t: a finished screenplay, a promise of a sale, an option, representation, a production or a placement.
The required first step
Step 1, required before a seat is used: confirm the screen rights.
You must own or control the screen rights, or the novel must be your own unpublished work.
Do you own or control the screen rights to this novel, or is it your own unpublished work? If not, the conversion stops before a seat is used.
