How TSR is being proven
Honestly, and before anyone pays: TSR is in build. The foundation is built and runs on our own server, and it has been tested on real chapters of a novel. The checks held those pages back, and no gate has closed yet. Whole-novel validation and a screenwriter benchmark come before any sale; no seat opens before those gates. This page will change only when a gate closes on a check whose answer the builders did not write.
The gate that decides: the blind human benchmark
A hired working screenwriter and TSR adapt the same pages, under the same brief. Two other screenwriters or development readers read both drafts without knowing which is which, and score each on eight measures: concept, structure, character, dialogue, visual writing, tone, fidelity to the novel, and readiness as a professional first draft.
Each reader then answers two questions. Would you continue developing this screenplay from this draft? And if you were hired to write the next draft, would you work from this screenplay or restart the adaptation from the novel?
TSR passes only if both readers would continue developing its draft, both would work from it rather than restart from the novel, its average is within one point of the human draft on a ten-point scale, and no fidelity fault turns up that the code missed. If it fails, the readers’ notes become the repair list.
The bar. TSR must turn a finished novel into a professionally structured first-draft feature screenplay that a professional screenwriter can develop forward from, without restarting the adaptation from the novel. The screenwriter is expected to improve the draft; improvement is not failure. Needing to start over from the novel is failure.
No seat opens before G9. Every other gate is necessary; none is enough on its own.
The thirteen gates
| Gate | Name | What it proves | Today |
|---|---|---|---|
| G1 | Canon | Every surface uses canon words: no banned word, no vendor, the true pen sentence, the honest human-writer paragraph. | Not yet run |
| G2 | Extraction | The sealed test novel's counts match a key written by a person. | Not yet run |
| G3 | Read | Planted faults found on the sealed novel; the controlling idea and ending agree with the human key; zero recall leaks. | Not yet run |
| G4 | Fidelity | Every scene traced; nothing invented; your dialogue exact — on the sealed novel and a regression fixture. | Not yet run |
| G5 | Format and length | Format, length on the rendered PDF, and the craft lint green. | Not yet run |
| G6 | Output continuity | No new contradiction; the defects found in an earlier outside read do not recur. | Not yet run |
| G7 | Verify | The delivery self-check clean: the four documents agree. | Not yet run |
| G8 | Repeatable | Two runs on the sealed novel give the same scene list and the same results. | Not yet run |
| G9 | Blind human benchmark | A hired working screenwriter and TSR adapt the same pages; two outside readers judge both blind on eight measures and two questions. TSR passes only if both readers would continue developing its draft and would develop it rather than restart from the book, and its average is within one point of the human draft. | Not yet run |
| G10 | Live | One full conversion on the deployed build, within the cost ceiling. | Not yet run |
| G11 | Release conversions | Three of the founder's own novels, each delivered clean at first delivery, on the owner's word. | Not yet run |
| G12 | Price and copy | The measured cost per conversion logged; the margin ruled; the copy rulings applied; the market page verified, dated and attorney-read; the rights checkbox enforced by the door; and the owner's yes. | Not yet run |
| G13 | Simulations | Every free-road, live and human dry run green in the run log, from checks the seat did not write. | Free half green, live half not yet run |
